What is
Powder Brows?

A powder brow, also known as an ombre brow, differs from microblading or a combination brow as it does not involve hair strokes; instead, it utilizes machine shading. This method is suitable for all skin types.

During a powder brow procedure, a single-needle tattoo machine deposits small pigment dots beneath the skin. These dots are layered to achieve the desired level of color saturation. The shading can be subtle for a natural appearance or layered for a more defined and filled-in look. The technique is flexible and can be tailored to meet your preferences.

Powder brows offer a natural look similar to microblading. For individuals with oily skin, large pores, uneven brow hair growth, or coarse hair, microblading may appear unnatural and fail to blend with natural hair, resulting in uneven color and blurred outcomes over time. Powder brows, on the other hand, provide a uniform

color layer that heals to a flawless powdery finish. They do not result in "sharpie brows" and yield beautiful effects.

Although powder brows may initially appear bold, they heal to a gentle, powdery texture. If you seek minimal maintenance, consistent results, or long-lasting outcomes, consider scheduling a powder brow appointment for natural and lasting brow enhancement.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that enhances the appearance of your eyebrows. It involves using a specialized hand-held tool with fine needles to deposit pigment into the skin, creating hair-like strokes that mimic natural eyebrow hairs. This technique is ideal for those looking to improve the shape, fullness, or definition of their eyebrows.

Microblading is most successful on young individuals with normal to dry skin, while those with combination/oily skin are NOT suitable candidates and may benefit from ombré brows.

What is
Combination Brows?

A popular technique that merges two different methods: microblading and machine shading. This technique adds definition and structure to the brows. Shading, on the other hand, uses a machine to add a soft, powdered effect between the hair strokes, giving the brows a fuller and more filled-in look.

Perfect for individuals with naturally sparse or unevenly growing brow hair, a combination brow effectively addresses these concerns. The soft shading technique smoothens out any irregularities in hair growth, creating a more three-dimensional appearance. It's ideal for those seeking a well-defined or fuller brow, with the flexibility to adjust shading intensity for various looks.

Suitable for all skin types, including oily or aging skin, this technique yields a soft and lovely healing outcome.

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

The procedure typically takes around 2-3 hours, which includes Medical History, finalizing the details of the consultation, numbing process, and the actual application of the pigment and reviewing aftercare.

Is It Painful?

Most clients experience minimal to zero discomfort during the procedure, in fact some of our clients get a little beauty rest during their treatment. A topical anesthetic is applied to numb the area. Pain levels can vary depending on individual pain tolerance.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup can last from 1 to 3 years. Various factors, including skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color, and aftercare impact the longevity of the permanent brows.

Exposure to sunlight and certain types of lighting, like tanning beds, can influence how quickly these pigments fade. Adhering to the provided aftercare guidelines is crucial for achieving optimal healing results and prolonging the lifespan of your brows.

Permanent makeup is intended to gradually fade with time, yet it is classified as a cosmetic tattoo. Regular touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look.

Selecting the right service for your skin type and following the correct aftercare procedures will ensure stunning results that last for years.

*Please note that final results vary and CANNOT be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals. A follow-up appointment is recommended after your initial session where we can assess your pigment retention and perfect your permanent makeup!

How Can I Prepare for My Appointment ?

24 hours prior to your appointment, refrain from consuming alcohol, self-administered blood-thinning medications, and stimulants like caffeine.

-On the day of your appointment, please arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and to relax before your session. Our welcoming environment and professional staff are here to make your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

-Also, refrain from waxing

-Avoid tinting your eyebrows.

-Wear comfortable clothes. (Hoodies are not as desirable for laying the duration of your appointment.)

-Start to hydrate by drinking water, your body prior to your appointment, this will help with healing.

What is the aftercare process like?

After the procedure, it's important to keep the area clean and dry. Avoid makeup, sweating, and direct sunlight for at least 10 days. Your technician will provide detailed aftercare instructions.

What factors will influence my outcome?

Oily Skin Excess  - oil production can lead to quick fading or poor retention of hair strokes. If you have oily or combination skin, consider opting for combination or powder brows instead of microblading.

Excessive Bleeding - Excessive bleeding during the procedure can impact pigment retention. While some bleeding is normal, excessive bleeding can result in quick pigment fading and ashy healing. Minimize bleeding by following pre-care instructions such as avoiding blood-thinning medications and alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Sun Exposure Prolonged - sun exposure can cause premature fading. I recommend wearing a hat and large sunglasses to help shield your brows from the sun.

Improper Pre and Post Care - Not adhering to pre and post-care instructions can negatively affect your healed results. Follow all instructions diligently for optimal outcomes. Remember, I can only control the process in the salon, so it's crucial to be well-prepared beforehand and strictly follow all instructions afterward for the best results.

Right after having your eyebrows done, you might notice slight redness or swelling near the treated area, which usually subsides within 24 hours. As time passes, the pigment will oxidize, giving the brows a darker and warmer (reddish) appearance than initially. This process is normal and predictable.

Once fully healed, the pigment typically fades around 20-40%. Between days 3-4, you might observe slight scabbing and flaking on the treated area, which is a normal part of the healing process. Avoid picking at the brows to prevent pigment loss and potential scarring.

Initially, the brows may seem uneven until they finish healing entirely. Once the flaking subsides (usually by day 10), the brows will appear lighter. Over the next 6 weeks, the pigment will darken and eventually settle into its fully healed color on the skin.

Around 6 weeks, your eyebrows will be completely healed. Any pigment that doesn't come back will be taken care of at your touch-up session. During this appointment, we will evaluate the retention, touch up any areas that need it, and can adjust the pigment color to achieve flawless brows! After your brows have fully healed from the touch-up session, you can enjoy beautiful, full brows for 12-36 months!

*Just a reminder that everyone heals at their own pace; this is just something to refer to

Right After the
procedure...

Can I still wear eyebrow makeup after the procedure?

While the goal is to reduce the need for additional makeup, you can still use eyebrow makeup to enhance the look if desired. However, avoid applying any makeup during the healing process.
